BIFROST: Bridging Invariant Feature Representation for Observation-space Sim2Real Transfer

Yunfu Deng, Josiah P. Hanna

Sim2real transfer for robot policy learning suffers due to mismatch between simulation and reality. Existing methods typically address each gap in isolation through separate adaptation modules, which are composed or layered when both gaps coexist. Yet the basis for attempting sim2real in the first place is that there is shared structure between a task in simulation and reality, where equivalent actions from equivalent configurations produce equivalent long term outcomes regardless of domain specific differences in rendering or physics. In this paper, we study whether we can identify and exploit this shared structure from raw observations to train a policy that enables zero shot transfer. We introduce BIFROST, which learns a shared history encoder on paired cross-domain data via cross-domain bisimulation objective: observation-action sequences leading to equivalent long-term behavior are mapped to nearby latent states, regardless of domain. Policies trained on these latent states in simulation transfer zero-shot to reality. We provide empirical evidence on sim2sim visual navigation and sim2real contact rich manipulation task and visual servoing task that BIFROST achieves effective transfer where domain adaptation and co-training baselines fail under both visual and dynamics domain gaps.

Compact Latent Coordination for Autonomous Vehicles at Unsignalized Intersections

Gil Lifshits, Igal Bilik, Gilad Katz

Coordinating autonomous vehicles at unsignalized intersections remains a critical challenge for multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) systems, which typically struggle with combinatorial action spaces, reliance on privileged information, or rigid agent designs. We propose Mas…

One Hand Watches The Other: Dynamic Multi-Agent Cooperation for Sample-Efficient Bimanual Manipulation in Dynamic Environments

Jan Ole von Hartz, Abhinav Valada, Joschka Boedecker

Multi-stream robot manipulation policies achieve unparalleled sample efficiency and generalization by modeling actions relative to environmental reference frames. However, existing approaches typically assume these frames to be strictly exogenous. This causal assumption collapses…

DBA-Bench: A Production-Fidelity Benchmark for LLM-Based Database Operations Agents

Junming Chen, Junyang Jiang, Xu Chen, Zibo Liang, Kai Zheng

LLM-based database agents show promise, but differing task scopes, testbeds, and metrics hinder comparison. We identify four gaps between evaluation and production operations: live-environment fidelity (multi-turn read-write interaction with a running database); observation-space…

Leveraging Transfer Learning with Class-Specific Decoders for Laparoscopic Segmentation

Priya Tomar, Aditya Parikh, Christian Bauckhage, Rafet Sifa

Effective multi-organ segmentation in surgical data requires learning the intricate anatomical features and alleviating the challenge of class imbalance, which results from relatively lower proportions of small and limitedly exposed structures. Recent works on laparoscopic multi-…

Stable Autoregressive Speech Generation with Low-Frame-Rate High-Dimensional Continuous Tokens

Yi Luo, Rongzhi Gu, Jixun Yao

Balancing sequence length, representational capacity, and long-horizon stability is a central problem in autoregressive (AR) speech and audio generation. Representations with higher frame rates or greater capacity can preserve more signal detail, but they also make streaming gene…
