One year of five-minute monitoring data from a residential solar PV–battery system, Capiz, Philippines (Nov 2024 – Oct 2025): descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics

This dataset provides one year (1 November 2024 – 31 October 2025) of five-minute field measurements from an operating residential rooftop solar photovoltaic–battery system in Roxas City, Capiz, Philippines, together with satellite weather, system specifications, analysis code, and result tables supporting the accompanying manuscript. The monitored system is a 5.4 kWp PV array with a 5 kW hybrid inverter and a 15.36 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, operated for self-consumption on the Capiz Electric Cooperative network. The primary file contains 92,661 five-minute records (88.1% coverage) of PV production, household consumption, and grid exchange, metered by the inverter upstream of the grid tie (true household demand). Daily global horizontal irradiance and air temperature from NASA POWER are included and merged with daily energy totals. Derived resources support a three-layer analytics workflow: descriptive performance (specific yield 1,166 kWh/kWp, capacity factor 13.3%, performance ratio 0.67, battery-enabled solar fraction 91%); predictive day-ahead generation forecasting (machine-learning model comparison and feature importances); and prescriptive battery-sizing and 25-year techno-economic results (6.0-year payback, 18.3% IRR, LCOE ≈ PHP 6.7/kWh, 3.16 t CO₂/yr avoided). A documented Python script reproduces the descriptive, sizing, and economic results from the raw data. A full data dictionary, units, timezone (UTC+08:00), and quality-control method are in the README. Data are the corresponding author's own household measurements, shared with consent; location at municipality-level precision. Released under CC BY 4.0.
