We present DroneIQA-VLE, our solution to the ICME 2026 Drone-IQA Grand Challenge on Target-aware Image Quality Assessment for Low-altitude UAV Images. The framework jointly predicts global, target, and background quality scores by ensembling two complementary pipelines: (1) SigLIP2 vision encoders with multi-task regression heads, and (2) a LoRA-adapted Qwen3.5-9B multimodal large language model for quality score regression. The final global quality prediction is obtained by arithmetically averaging the outputs of both pipelines. Our method achieves 2nd place in the challenge, demonstrating its effectiveness. The code is available at https://github.com/sunwei925/DroneIQA-VLE.
A vision-language AI assistant returns its answer as a stream of generated tokens. Therefore, a safety guard that watches that answer has to keep up with the stream and stop a harmful reply before a user reads it. Recent vision-language guardrails instead generate a chain of thou…
End-to-end vision-language navigation (VLN) with causal vision-language models maps instructions and egocentric observations directly to actions, but standard behavior cloning supervises only the next action and does not explicitly encourage the policy state to be predictive of f…
Vision-language models trained with contrastive objectives have shown promise in medical image analysis. However, conventional global image-text alignment is ill-suited for mammography, where diagnostically relevant lesions are spatially localized and occupy only a small fraction…
3D CT vision-language models (VLMs) classify abnormalities from text prompts in a zero-shot manner, enabling cross-institution deployment where labels are scarce and clinical tasks shift faster than supervised models can be retrained. A real CT scan, however, typically contains s…
Multi-Task Learning (MTL) in robotics perception systems supports comprehensive 3D spatial scene understanding by integrating semantic segmentation and depth estimation. While Vision Foundation Models (VFMs) are increasingly adopted as robust feature encoders, existing decoding s…
Recent sign language generation (SLG) systems increasingly output dense 3D body representations, which better preserve full-body kinematics and geometry for downstream embodiment on humanoid robots. However, these generated motions frequently exhibit self-intersections such as ha…
