Object detection under adverse weather remains challenging due to severe visual degradations and domain shifts. Existing enhancer-based approaches attempt to improve detection by cascading an enhancer with a detector, but they introduce redundant feature extraction and incur high computational cost with limited accuracy gains when paired with SOTA detectors. We propose FR-DETR, a detector-centric framework that refines features rather than images, focusing enhancement on regions of interest and leveraging frequency-domain cues. Specifically, we design (I) a Frequency Refinement Module that dynamically separates and reweights low- and high-frequency components to improve foreground-background discrimination, and (II) a Recurrent Focus Refinement Module (RFRM) that iteratively refines features using coarse predictions as guidance. Extensive experiments demonstrate that FR-DETR achieves superior detection accuracy under adverse weather while being significantly more computationally efficient than enhancer-based methods. Our implementation is available at https://github.com/ducnt1210/FR-DETR.
Hyperspectral salient object detection aims to identify visually salient regions from hyperspectral images. Existing methods often fail because they fundamentally misunderstand the data, confusing incidental spectral variations caused by external factors such as illumination with…
This work introduces G-MAD, an open-source framework that uses Arma3 to generate synchronized multi-view RGB-T data for aerial object detection. G-MAD addresses key limitations of real-world aerial dataset construction, including limited viewpoint control, imperfect RGB-T alignme…
The zero-shot capabilities of multimodal large language models (MLLMs) are pushing salient object detection (SOD) beyond task-specific supervision. To disentangle MLLMs beyond conventional mask-based evaluation, we decompose SOD into localization and segmentation, and re-engineer…
Self-supervised depth estimation is challenging for safe autonomous driving under various adverse weather conditions due to sensor perception degradation. These challenges arise from two main aspects. Firstly, adverse conditions can distort pixel correspondences and violate the a…
Medical ultrasound (US) image segmentation faces significant challenges due to speckle noise, low-contrast boundaries, acoustic shadowing, and acquisition variation across operators and clinical centers. Although encoder-decoder and transformer-based networks have achieved strong…
Accurate forest inventory and large-scale mapping are essential for ecosystem monitoring and sustainable forest management. Multiple low-cost edge platforms enable efficient large-area data acquisition, but merging independently constructed local maps in GNSS-denied understory en…
