PhyTrade: Institutional Physics Library and Protocol for Global Commodity Arbitration PhyTrade is an open-source scientific software library that applies fundamental principles of physics to the analysis, optimization, and simulation of commodity transportation, logistics, and resource allocation systems. The project provides a modular computational framework that bridges physical modelling, mathematical optimization, and decision support for research and industrial applications. The library integrates computational tools across multiple domains of classical physics, including mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, electromagnetism, and transport phenomena, together with optimization algorithms and scientific computing utilities. These capabilities enable users to construct reproducible models for analysing physical constraints within supply chains, energy systems, transportation networks, and commodity movement. Designed with a modular Python architecture, PhyTrade supports extensibility for both academic research and production workflows. The software emphasizes transparency, reproducibility, comprehensive documentation, and open-source development practices, making it suitable for educational use, computational research, and interdisciplinary engineering studies. Key features include: * Physics-based computational models for engineering and logistics. * Scientific computing utilities for numerical analysis and simulation. * Optimization methods for transport, routing, and resource allocation. * Modular architecture supporting extension through additional physics modules. * Reproducible workflows for research software and computational experiments. * Cross-platform compatibility with modern Python environments. * Comprehensive documentation, testing, and continuous integration. The project is distributed under the Apache License 2.0 to encourage open collaboration, reproducible science, and community-driven development. Future releases will expand support for advanced optimization techniques, uncertainty quantification, digital twin methodologies, and physics-informed computational modelling. PhyTrade aims to provide a robust and extensible foundation for researchers, engineers, educators, and developers seeking to integrate scientific principles into computational analysis of complex physical and logistical systems.
