Lookahead Branching for Neural Network Verification

Liam Davis, Duo Zhou, Huan Zhang, Guy Katz, Clark Barrett, Haoze Wu

In this work, we investigate the effect of lookahead branching strategies in neural network verification. We present a general recipe to integrate lookahead into any branch-and-bound verifier and demonstrate how one of the current state-of-the-art branching heuristics, FSB, can be viewed as a special instantiation of the lookahead branching strategy. We also describe how, in addition to improving the quality of branching decisions, lookahead can generate additional lemmas that accelerate verification. We instantiate the method in two representative branch-and-bound-based verifiers (Marabou and $α$-$β$-CROWN), and demonstrate that lookahead leads to consistent speedups in verification time and up to $57\%$ more solved instances. Code is available at https://github.com/ai-ar-research/lookahead-branching.

Privacy-Preserving Robustness Verification for Neural Networks

Nianyun Song, Xiaokun Luan, Yu Guo, Rongfang Bie, Meng Sun, Xiyue Zhang

Neural network verification and data privacy are inherently in tension: verification demands full access to model parameters and input data, yet both are increasingly restricted by privacy regulations and intellectual property constraints. This tension has left robustness verific…

First-Order Temporal Logic Tensor Networks

Luca Boscarato, Ivan Donadello, Alessandro Artale, Marco Montali, Fabrizio Maria Maggi

Most of the existing neuro-symbolic AI methods focus on the scenario of static knowledge where objects do not change according to a temporal dimension. Temporal neuro-symbolic works are still under explored and are mainly developed for time-interval logic or propositional linear…

PatchOptic for Shared-State LLM Workflows with Projected Views and Verified Structured Updates

Zhaoyu Bai, Jiaqi Cai

Agentic workflows often operate over shared, structured state. Because LLM context windows are limited, each model invocation is typically shown only the state fragment needed for the current workflow step, a pattern commonly known as progressive disclosure. Modern systems constr…
